The Old Station Nursery Group in Wellingborough is seeking an experienced Nursery Cook to join our team. You will prepare and serve nutritious meals for children, plan menus, manage orders, and help create engaging baking activities.
Applicants must hold a valid Food and Hygiene certificate, be knowledgeable about allergens, and have experience with scratch cooking. The post offers flexible hours (25 hours per week), a pay rate of £13.20 per hour, and a range of childcare and wellbeing perks.

To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a valid Food and Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate strong knowledge of food allergens and dietary requirements. Previous experience in scratch cooking, baking, andmenu preparation is also required.

As a Cook in our nursery, you’ll:
Wellingborough nursery children are very much a part of the local community and we are lucky to have Croyland Park on the other side of our boundary fence, where we feed the ducks and use the play equipment. Our nursery is made up of 4 rooms - a 13 place baby room, 16 place toddler room and 2 preschool rooms which can hold up to 32 children. Each room has their own garden space too! Wellingborough Day Nursery is situated on Croyland Road next to Croyland Park. The nursery is within walking distance of the town and a five-minute drive from the A45. There is staff parking available.
