Play Away Day Nursery in Southampton is seeking a Nursery Cleaner to maintain cleanliness of communal areas, including toilets, to ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment for children. The role is 20 hours per week at £12.71 per hour, located in a residential area with free onsite parking and excellent transport links.

• Previous cleaning experience required.
• Fluent in written and spoken English - essential.
• Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of communal areas, including toilets, to high standards.
• Ensure health and safety of self and others according to policies.
• Store cleaning materials safely and in line with guidelines.
• Order cleaning equipment and supplies in collaboration with Nursery Manager.
• Undertake other cleaning duties as directed by the Nursery Manager.

As Nursery Cleaner, you will:

• Beresponsible for maintaining cleanliness of communal areas, includingtoilets, to ensure that the nursery environment is safe, clean, tidy, andprofessional standards are maintained. This includes washing, dusting,polishing, vacuum cleaning, and sweeping as appropriate.
  
• Takingresponsibility for the health and safety of yourself and others, adheringto organisations policies and procedures and having an awareness ofsafeguarding children.
  
• Understandingthe importance of the nursery environment, resources, safety, and hygieneand adhering to COSSH datasheets for cleaning materials.
  
• Storeall cleaning materials and supplies in line with health and safetyguidelines.
  
• Workin partnership with the Nursery Manager to ensure the timely ordering ofany cleaning equipment or supplies.
  
• Therewill also be other cleaning duties to be undertaken when required asdirected by the Nursery Manager.
  

As Nursery Cleaner, you will need:
