Job summary

Family First Nurseries Group’s Play Away Day Nursery in Southampton is seeking a SEN 1:1 to support children with SEN needs, promoting development through sensory play and daily routines.

You will help with safety, hygiene, and engaging activities while maintaining professional relationships and safeguarding; English fluency is essential and a DBS check will be required. The role offers a range of benefits and development opportunities within the group.

• Experience in Early Years is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences and resources appropriate to age and development.
• Maintain highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery and promote daily routines.
• Undertake duties to ensure smooth daily running and safety of children, staff and families.
• Report complaints or concerns to management as per policy and procedures.

We are seeking a SEN 1:1 to join the team to support children with SEN needs within the setting. Within this role you will support and promote their development with lots of sensory play and regulating activities whilst encouraging and supporting daily routine & safety.

Located in the heart of Southampton and Ofsted-rated Good (January 2023), Play Away Day Nursery provides quality, convenient day care for children from 3 months to 5 years old. Outside the nursery, there is a bus stop and parking,

Requirements

Main responsibilities include:

• Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
• Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery, and promote these daily in every routine
• Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the day, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
• Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures

Requirements and skills:

• Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
• Experience of working in Early Years - desirable
