Nuffield Health is seeking a Nursery Chef for our Nuffy Bear Day Nursery based in a gym setting. This role offers a permanent, full-time position with responsibilities in kitchen operations, menu planning, and supplier management.

You will join a supportive team, follow Early Years Foundation Stage guidelines, and contribute to healthy meals for children. The role requires DBS clearance and good English communication skills.

Competenze

• Good verbal and written English.
• Food Allergen Awareness training (provided).
• Enhanced DBS required.
• Strong organisational skills; ability to encourage children to develop love of food.

Mansioni

• Be responsible for the organization and operation for our nursery kitchen.
• Work with seasonal menus and use fresh ingredients to produce healthy and nutritional food.
• Order from our nominated suppliers to ensure adequate stock levels.
• Work within a set budget alongside your manager.
• Minimise food waste.
• Support laundry and ensure the cleanliness of your kitchen.
• Deal with third parties/suppliers.
• Work to EHO (environmental health) standards.

Our Nuffy Bear Day Nursery is seeking Nursery Chef to be based in our Nuffield Health gym.

If you are looking to be part of a team and are passionate about food and children, look no further and be a part our Nuffy Bear at the UK’s largest Healthcare Charity. We’re Ofsted registered, and we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage, where we offer a unique range of wellbeing care for children helping them to achieve the best possible start in life.

You will need to have good verbal and written English, as well as Food Allergen Awareness training, which we can provide. You’re strong on organisation and confident about encouraging children to develop their love of food. And of course, you’ll require an enhanced DBS as part of your application.

As a Nursery Cook, you will:
