Job summary

Nuffield Health is seeking a Nursery Cook to join our Brondesbury FWC nursery kitchen, based at a gym location. You will be responsible for running the nursery kitchen, preparing healthy meals from seasonal ingredients, and managing stock and supplier relations in line with budgets, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

The role requires DBS clearance, strong English communication, and a passion for healthy child nutrition within a wellbeing-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Good verbal and written English required.
• Enhanced DBS disclosure required.
• Food allergen awareness training provided by us.
• Ability to manage kitchen operations and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the organisation and operation for our nursery kitchen
• Work with seasonal menus and use fresh ingredients to produce healthy and nutritional food
• Order from our nominated suppliers to ensure adequate stock levels
• Work within a set budget alongside your manager
• Support laundry and ensure the cleanliness of your kitchen
• Deal with third parties/suppliers
• Work to EHO (environmental health) standards

Our Nuffy Bear Day Nursery is seeking Nursery Chef to be based in our Nuffield Health gym.

You will need to have good verbal and written English, as well as Food Allergen Awareness training, which we can provide. You're strong on organisation and confident about encouraging children to develop their love of food. And of course, you'll require an enhanced DBS as part of your application.

As a Nursery Cook, you will:
