Job summary

Complete Childcare in Stepping Stones, Finchampstead, is seeking a passionate Nursery Chef to plan and prepare healthy meals for children, ensuring dietary needs are met and meals are served in a safe, hygienic kitchen.

You will work 40 hours per week, within a supportive team, and help create positive mealtime experiences that support health, wellbeing and development.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef or cook.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to plan and prepare healthy meals for children.
• Organised and reliable kitchen management.

Salary: £27,414.40

Hours: 40 hours

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Chef to join our warm, welcoming and nurturing nursery. Our children thrive, our staff feel valued, and we pride ourselves on providing nutritious, balanced meals that support children’s health, wellbeing and development.

Your Main Role and Responsibilities

As a Nursery Chef, you will:

• Plan and prepare nutritious, balanced meals and snacks for children following nursery menus
• Ensure meals meet children’s dietary, allergy and all other requirements
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety in line with regulations
• Manage food orders and stock levels efficiently
• Work closely with the nursery team to ensure meal times are positive experiences for children
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe kitchen environment
