Job summary

St George's Nursery is seeking a reliable Nursery Cook to provide balanced meals and snacks for children across the nursery. You will plan, prepare, and cook daily meals while meeting dietary needs and maintaining high hygiene standards.

You will work with the Nursery Manager to develop seasonal menus that are healthy, appealing, and safe for all children. This part-time role offers 25 hours per week with hourly pay and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Food Hygiene certificate (Level 2 or higher).
• Experience in childcare, school, or care setting catering preferred.
• Knowledge of allergens and safe food storage.
• Good organisational skills and ability to work independently.
• Genuine passion for children’s health and nutrition.

Salary: £12.95 per hour

The Role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Nursery Cook to join our team. This is a key role where you’ll ensure children are provided with balanced meals and snacks that meet dietary needs.

• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Food Hygiene certificate (Level 2 or higher).
• Previous experience in catering, ideally in a childcare, school, or care setting.
• Knowledge of allergens and safe food storage.
• Good organisational skills and ability to work independently.
• A genuine passion for children’s health and nutrition.
