Job summary

RAFAKidz Nursery at RAF Cranwell in Sleaford is seeking a dedicated Nursery Chef. The role involves planning, preparing and serving nutritious meals for children, with careful attention to individual dietary needs and allergies.

You will manage stock, storage and rotation while upholding strict hygiene standards. The position requires a minimum Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification and compliance with Environmental Health regulations.

Qualifications

• Plan, prepare and serve age-appropriate, nutritious meals and snacks.
• Order, store and rotate kitchen stock while maintaining hygiene per Environmental Health rules.
• Ensure dietary requirements and allergies are respected.

About you

As our Chef, you will have lots of stamina, patience, creativity and imagination with an abundance of great ideas to enhance mealtimes. The key responsibilities of the role include the planning, preparation and serving of age appropriate, nutritious and well-balanced meals and snacks catering for the children’s individual dietary requirements and food allergies. You will be responsible for the ordering, control, storage and rotation of kitchen stock and ensuring that you and Kitchen Assistants ensure hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen is of the highest standard in accordance with Environmental Health requirements and legislation. A minimum Level 3 qualification in food hygiene is an essential requirement along with excellent knowledge of current legislations in Environmental Health and Food Standards Agency
