Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a small independent nursery/preschool in York to appoint a dedicated Nursery Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis with an immediate start.

You will support children throughout their early years development, assist with daily activities, encourage learning through play, and help maintain a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. Hours are 40 per week, pay £14.25 per hour, with CPD courses and a supportive onboarding process.

Qualifications

• Experience in a nursery, preschool or similar setting.
• Understanding of the EYFS curriculum is desirable.
• Passion for supporting children's learning and development.

The nursery is looking to take on a dedicated Nursery Assistant on a full time, permanent basis, with an immediate start available. The successful Nursery Assistant will support children throughout their early years development, assisting with daily activities, encouraging learning through play and helping to maintain a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.

The successful Nursery Assistant will have:

• previous experience working with children in a nursery, preschool or similar setting
• an understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum is desirable
• a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
• strong communication and teamwork skills
• a caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
• adaptability and a positive 'can-do' attitude
