Job summary

Hello Education is recruiting a Nursery Assistant for a private day nursery in Darlington. You will support children aged 0–5 through daily routines, play, and learning in a safe, nurturing environment.

The role requires at least six months’ experience with under-fives, a relevant childcare qualification or progress towards one, and willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with safeguarding checks conducted in line with guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience with children aged 0–5 years required.
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check.
• Hold, or be working towards, a relevant childcare qualification.
• Commitment to safeguarding and supportive care in early years.

Responsibilities

• Assist children aged 0–5 with daily routines in a safe, caring environment.
• Supportmealtimes and promote independence during meals.
• Assist with personal care activities and promote self-help skills.
• Participate in play-based and educational activities to support development.
• Encourage curiosity, creativity, and social skills in young children.
