Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Nursery Assistant for a private nursery in Drighlington to work on a flexible day-to-day basis. You will assist with daily routines, support learning through play, and collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality care in a safe, nurturing environment.

Applicants should have Level 2/3 childcare evidence or experience in an Early Years setting, and a caring, patient attitude with strong communication skills. DBS compliance may be required.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare is desirable, but not required.
• Experience working within an Early Years or nursery setting.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily routines in the preschool room.
• Support children's development through play-based activities.
• Work closely with the nursery team to provide high-quality care and learning experiences.
