Job summary

Childbase Partnership Ltd is seeking a Nursery Assistant in Hertford. The role is permanent, 40 hours per week across 52 weeks, with varied shifts Monday to Friday between 07:30 and 18:30. You will be part of a dedicated, employee-owned network committed to learning and wellbeing.

The position requires caring for babies and young children, using EYFS knowledge to plan engaging activities, monitor progress, and safeguard every child. Right to work in the UK is required and DBS checks are standard.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for babies and children under five, ideally in an early years setting.
• Knowledge of child development and EYFS to plan activities as a Key Person.
• Safeguarding focus to keep children safe, valued and happy.
• Ability to collaborate with parents and colleagues to support learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement high quality activities that promote learning through play.
• Observe, assess and record children’s progress as part of daily practice.
• Act as a Key Person and build strong relationships with children and families.
• Safeguard and ensure the wellbeing of every child in your care.
