Job summary

TeacherActive is working with an OFSTED Outstanding nursery in Leeds to appoint an Early Years Practitioner. The role focuses on supporting children aged 2-5 through creative activities in a stimulating preschool setting.

The successful candidate will have Level 2/3 EYQ or a relevant degree in Arts or Speech & Language, with strong communication and teamwork skills. This is a permanent, long-term position with clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, or a relevant degree in Arts, Music, Speech and Language or a related creative subject.
• Experience working with children within an Early Years setting.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• A passion for creativity, music, communication and child development.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive, proactive and nurturing approach.

Responsibilities

The nursery is looking to take on an Early Years Practitioner on a long-term basis with the opportunity to secure a permanent position. The successful Early Years Practitioner will be based within the preschool room, supporting children aged 2-5 years through engaging activities, creative play and early communication development, while helping to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

The successful Early Years Practitioner will have:
