Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting four qualified Nursery Practitioner professionals for an eight-week temporary assignment in Hertfordshire. You will join a child-centred setting, supporting early years development through engaging activities and structured routines.

The role requires a Level 2/3 Early Years qualification, EYFS experience and a DBS check. Excellent communication, safeguarding knowledge and a passion for nurturing young learners are essential.

Qualifications

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years is essential.
  • QTS-qualified teachers or candidates with an Early Years degree are welcome.
  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above are essential.
  • Experience in EYFS or nursery environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support children's learning through play, sensory activities and exploration.
  • Contribute to the development of creativity, independence and confidence.
  • Assist the team in safeguarding and daily routines within nursery settings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide a nurturing, high-quality early years experience.

We are currently recruiting four qualified Nursery Practitioner professionals to join the team on a full-time basis for an exciting 8-week temporary assignment, making this the perfect opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in a highly regarded nursery setting.

The nursery has been thoughtfully designed to encourage children to explore both indoors and outdoors, with engaging learning spaces that promote creativity, independence and confidence. Every day brings exciting opportunities to support children's development through sensory play, imaginative activities, outdoor discovery and positive daily routines. To be considered for our Nursery Practitioner role, you will need:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential)
  • QTS-qualified teachers or candidates with an Early Years degree are welcome to apply
  • GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in both English and Maths (essential)
  • Previous experience working within an EYFS or nursery environment (preferred)
  • A genuine passion for supporting children\'s learning, wellbeing and development
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one (essential)
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
  • A positive, caring and enthusiastic approach with excellent communication skills
