Job summary

The Learning Experience in Weybridge is seeking a dedicated Nursery Assistant to support our childcare team. You will help deliver safe, nurturing activities that encourage development and a love of learning.

In this role you will assist with planning and supervising play, support language development, maintain a tidy classroom, and build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues. A flexible, caring attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong English communication skills (spoken and written).
• Experience or willingness to work with children in nursery/school settings is preferred but not essential.
• Positive, caring, proactive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our Weybridge team. About The Role

As an Nursery Assistant, you’ll support the nursery team in providing safe, nurturing, and engaging childcare. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the planning and delivery of activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development
• Supervising children during play and ensuring their safety at all times
• Encouraging children’s language development and self-expression
• Supporting lead practitioners in maintaining a clean, organised, and stimulating classroom environment

What We’re Looking For

Ideally, You Will Have

• Previous experience working with children in a nursery, school, or childcare setting (desirable but not essential)
• Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written
• Creativity and enthusiasm when engaging with children
• A valid driving licence (preferred, for occasional outings)
• A positive, caring, and proactive attitude
