Job summary

Academics is seeking Nursery Assistants for September opportunities in Stafford and Cannock areas, offering flexible day-to-day supply, short-term placements or long-term roles across a range of nurseries.

Ideal candidates hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification, have prior nursery experience, are DBS checked (Update Service) and fully registered with Academics. Hourly pay is £14.24–£15 with holiday pay included.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in nursery or early years settings.
• Level 3 Early Years Qualification is required.
• Comfort with personal care tasks and daily routines.
• Willing to commute to Cannock and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Support children's daily routines and personal care as required.
• Work as part of a nursery team and follow guidance from senior staff.
• Adapt to placements across multiple nurseries in Stafford and Cannock areas.

We're Looking for Nursery Assistants Who...

• Must have experience working with children within a nursery, early years or childcare environment.
• Holds a Level 3 Early Years Qualification.
• Are confident supporting children's personal care needs, including toileting, mealtimes and daily routines where required.
• Can work effectively as part of a nursery team and follow guidance from senior staff and room leaders.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
• Hold, or are willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
• Are fully registered to work for Academics.
• Are able to commute to Cannock and the surrounding areas.

Pay: £14.24 - £15 per hour. Holiday pay is included within the daily rate.
