Butlers Consultancy in Hackney, London is seeking a Nursery Assistant for a three-month cover. The role is full-time with a shift rota (8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm).

You must hold Level 3 in childcare and have an enhanced DBS registered on the update service. You will contribute to EYFS-based care, learning and development in a safe nursery environment.

Nursery Assistant required for a three month cover.

Beautiful nursery based in Hackney, East London.

This is a full time post based on a shift rota. Hours will be 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm and 10am-6pm.

You will need to be qualified in level 3 in Chidcare, have a enhanced DBS registered on the update service.

Job Purpose

To support the care, learning, and development of children in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating nursery environment, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in providing high-quality care and education for children aged [insert age range].
• Support planned learning activities and encourage children's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development.
• Help create a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.
• Supervise children during play, meals, and rest times.
• Assist with personal care routines, including feeding, toileting, and changing nappies where required.
• Observe children's progress and report concerns or achievements to senior staff.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain consistent routines and standards.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times.
