Job summary

Uniform Education is seeking a qualified Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming Early Years setting in Slough. The role supports children with learning, routines, and daily activities, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment in line with EYFS standards.

You will engage in development activities, assist with meals and transitions, observe progress, and work closely with families and staff to foster positive behaviour and independent learning.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years or equivalent.
• Experience in a nursery or Early Years setting is preferred.
• Good understanding of the EYFS and child development.

Hours: Monday - Friday, Part-Time or Full-Time, 3-5 Days Per Week
Shift: 8:00am - 6:30pm
Location: Slough

You will support children with their learning, development and daily routines, helping to provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment in line with the EYFS.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years or equivalent
• Previous nursery or Early Years experience
• Good understanding of the EYFS
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Right to Work in the UK

Desirable:

• Experience working with children aged 0-5
• Paediatric First Aid
• Experience supporting children with additional needs
