Job summary

Great Yarmouth Primary Academy and Nursery, part of Inspiration Trust, is hiring a permanent nursery assistant for the early years team. The role is 23 hours over three days per week across 39 weeks and involves supervising indoors and outdoors, planning learning, and communicating with families.

Applicants need a relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (enrolment allowed at interview) and must be eligible to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available. DBS and references required.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and tracking learning outcomes for early years.

• Enhanced DBS check and references are required.
• Experience in nursery or pre-school settings is preferred.

Job description

A permanent nursery assistant post in the early years team at Great Yarmouth Primary Academy and Nursery, part of Inspiration Trust. The role centres on supervising children indoors and outdoors, planning and tracking their learning, and communicating sensitively with families. It is part-time, 23 hours over three days across 39 working weeks. A level 3 childcare qualification is required, though enrolment on the course is acceptable at interview, and visa sponsorship is not available.

What’s required

Qualifications

• Relevant level 3 childcare qualification (may be enrolled and due to start the course at interview)

Experience

• Experience of working in a nursery or pre-school setting

• Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and how to plan and implement it
