Job description

We are seeking to appoint at least 1 Nursery Nurse to support a nursery in Willand. The nursery, based in WILLAND, EX15, requires a Nursery Nurse / Primary experienced teaching assistant to support with short-term sickness/holiday cover. Ideally, candidates will have a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.

The nursery has 2 sites only 10 minutes apart, located in a lovely setting that emphasizes outdoor activities and nature.

Hours:

• 8am to 6pm, with some shifts from 8am to 6pm and others from 8am to 4pm.

Responsibilities:

1. Guide children as a Nursery Nurse / Teaching Assistant, offering personalized support.
2. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop support plans.
3. Foster a nurturing environment that promotes social interactions and communication skills.
4. Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and implement interventions to address behaviour challenges and promote positive outcomes.

Requirements:

1. Ideally a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years.
2. Experience working across all age groups in nurseries or schools.
3. Effective communication skills for clear interactions.
4. Applicants with a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle will be prioritized.
