Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a Nursery Assistant for a private day nursery in Altrincham. This permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week) starts in November 2026, with a hourly salary of £12.17–£15.25.

You will support qualified practitioners with daily learning, play and care routines, helping to provide high standards of care across the setting. The successful candidate will have at least 3 months’ UK nursery experience, a good understanding of EYFS, and a caring, proactive approach

Qualifications

• No formal Early Years or Childcare qualification required.
• A minimum of 3 months’ experience working within a UK nursery.
• An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS
• A caring, reliable and proactive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine enthusiasm for supporting children’s development and wellbeing

Responsibilities

The nursery is looking to take on a Nursery Assistant on a permanent, full-time basis, working 40 hours per week from November 2026. The successful Nursery Assistant will support qualified practitioners with children’s daily learning, play and care routines, helping to provide engaging activities and a consistently high standard of care across the setting.

Requirements
