Job summary

Showcase Training Ltd. is recruiting a Nursery Apprentice in Southsea. The role runs 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday, with pay at £8 per hour and a rise to the National Living Wage after 12 months.

Training is provided through Showcase Training with Early Years Practitioner Level 2 or Early Years Educator Level 3 apprenticeships, plus Maths and English functional skills where required. Successful applicants will join a friendly local nursery and have the opportunity to progress to

Qualifications

• Duties include creating a warm, stimulating atmosphere for children.
• Assist with personal care including washing, changing and feeding.
• Act as key worker and plan for a small group of children.
• Complete apprenticeship work as directed by assessor.
• Meet the personal and emotional needs of children.
• Follow safeguarding policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing environment for early learning.
• Support daily care tasks and routines for children.
