Job summary

Exemplar Health Care's Wytham Lodge in Burnley is seeking a Nurse Unit Manager (days) to lead a team of nurses and care staff on your designated unit. You will deliver person-centred care, drive quality standards and manage clinical risks under the Clinical Nurse Manager.

You must hold an NMC PIN with post-registration management experience; a supportive, hands-on leader with strong communication and digital skills to maintain high standards is essential.

Qualifications

• First-level nursing registration with a valid NMC PIN.
• Post-registration management or supervisory experience or training.

Responsibilities

• Lead unit care and nursing teams to meet medical, physical and emotional needs.
• Provide strong leadership to maintain and develop high standards of care.
• Oversee all clinical elements and risk on the unit.
• Ensure care plans and risk assessments are completed and reviewed timely.

Care home : Wytham Lodge

Location : Wytham Street, Padiham, Burnley, BB12 7DX

Contract type : Full time, 42 hours per week on days

Rate : £23.65 per hour

About the role

As a Unit Manager with Exemplar Health Care, you'll be at the forefront of clinical care delivery for the people living on your designated unit.

No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• leading your unit's care and nursing teams to ensure we meet the medical, physical and emotional needs of the people we support
• providing strong leadership to maintain and continuously develop high standards of care and drive continuous improvement
• overseeing and managing all your unit's clinical elements and risk
• ensuring care plans and risk assessments are completed and reviewed in a timely manner and reflect care interventions appropriately
• acting as the Named Nurse for residents allocated to you, with responsibility for the oversight, review and update of their care profiles
• the supervision and management of your unit's ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording and disposal of medication
