Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust in Leeds General Infirmary is seeking a Part-time Band 6 Nurse to oversee cardiology patient flow and safe patient placement across Cardiology, Cardiac surgery and the Regional Coronary Care Unit.

You will join a dynamic team, with a focus on supporting discharge processes and ensuring timely movement of patients from ED to surgery and through the CSU. Excellent communication and prioritisation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Level 1).
• Evidence of continued professional development.
• Willing to undergo training as necessary.
• Significant post registration experience at Band 5 or equivalent and experience within a relevant speciality.
• Patient flow role or experience.
• Discharge role or experience.
• Cardiology knowledge (Desirable).
• Current issues in healthcare.
• Capable of lateral thinking.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Ability to organise and prioritise own and others workload.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate safe patient placement at LGI site for Cardiology, Cardiac surgery and RCCU.
• Support the ward teams, discharge team and CSU Leader to achieve timely patient flow.
• Assist with ED to elective Cardiac surgery flow and ward turnover.
• Move patients from Adult Critical Care CSU in a timely manner.
