Cornerstone Healthcare Group Ltd is recruiting a passionate Nurse RMN/RGN (Days) to join Marula Lodge, caring for residents with complex needs across four units. We value respect, openness, care and kindness, and pride ourselves on being rated GOOD by the CQC.

The role involves organising care delivery, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining documentation, with a 7 on/14 day pattern (3 days one week, 4 the next) and alternating weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in the UK with a valid NMC pin.
• Minimum 6 months' experience in a nursing home.
• Experience with adults with complex needs including challenging behaviours and mental health needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; build relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
• Caring and empathetic approach; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Organise and delegate workload to deliver resident care by skilled staff.
• Assess, plan and evaluate care needs.
• Oversee care provided by Health Care Assistants on shift.
• Participate in clinical meetings and report concerns.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation.

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 2 years experienced working as a Registered Nurse within the UK with a valid NMC pin (essential)
• A minimum of 6 months experience in a nursing home setting (essential)
• Experience working with adults that present with complex needs including challenging behaviours and mental health needs
• Ability to work alone as well as a team and be able to form positive relationships with colleagues, residents and families
• A caring and empathetic approach to residents and their visitors
• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)

Your Working Pattern

Working for us gives you more time for you with a 7 out of 14 day working pattern.

• Week A - 3 days
• Week B - 4 days

Alternate weekends.

Total average of 40.25 hours worked per week.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Organise and delegate workload to ensure effective delivery of resident’s care is carried out by appropriate skilled members of staff
• Assessing, planning and evaluating care needs or the provision of care
• Oversee care provided by Health Care Assistants & Senior Health Care Assistants on shift
• Participate in clinical meetings as required and report areas of concerns to managers
• Ensure that relevant documentation is maintained in a comprehensive manner
• Respect the confidentiality, dignity and privacy of residents and staff at all times
