Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a nurse practitioner to join the Duty Clinician team at a GP training practice. You will triage and assess acute presentations, see patients face-to-face or by phone, and manage long-term conditions while supporting colleagues with advice and teaching.

Current NMC registration and independent prescribing are required. You will work with GPs to provide safe, patient-centred care in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified nurse practitioner with current NMC registration.
• Independent prescriber qualification or current status.
• Experience assessing and managing acute presentations.
• Experience managing long-term conditions.
• Good team player with collaborative approach.
• Commitment to excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the duty doctor as part of the Duty Clinician team.
• Triage and assess acute patient presentations.
• See patients face-to-face or by telephone where appropriate.
• Support the wider clinical team with advice and clinical decision-making.
• Manage and review patients with long-term conditions.
• Share knowledge, advice and training with colleagues.
