Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a Nurse Team Manager for the Children’s ward to provide clinical and operational leadership during a period of growth and transformation.

You will lead the day-to-day management, foster a patient-centred culture, support safeguarding, clinical governance and staff development, and work with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, safe care for children and young people.

Qualifications

• Provide visible leadership to the nursing and multidisciplinary team, with responsibility for day-to-day ward management.
• Champion innovation and evidence-based practice to drive service transformation.
• Ensure high standards of care in line with national standards and Trust policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day management of the children's ward, ensuring safe staffing and effective deployment.
• Oversee workforce planning, education, appraisal, supervision and mandatory training.
• Monitor quality, safety, incidents, complaints, and audits with focus on learning and improvement.
• Promote collaborative multidisciplinary working and involve children and families in decisions about care.
