Job summary

Jobtailor in Leicester is looking for a dedicated care professional to provide responsive, nurse‑led care to clients with complex needs, including spinal injuries, brain injuries, and motor neurone disease. You will travel to clients' homes and other locations as required.

You will assist with washing, dressing, eating and toileting, support safe lifting and transfers, and keep your clinical skills current with ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Previous experience in a care environment or a similar role.
• Resilience to stay calm and professional during challenging situations.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, including CQC standards, health and safety.
• Experience supporting clients with complex needs (desirable).
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 In Health And Social Care (desirable).
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Satisfactory onboarding checks, including DBS, references, availability, and induction.
• Availability must remain consistent throughout employment.
• Flexibility to work rotational days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
• Ability to travel to clients' homes and other locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive care during hospital discharges, emergencies, and care package breakdowns.
• Deliver personalized, nurse-led care to clients with complex needs, including spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, locked-in syndrome, rehabilitation, and motor neurone disease.
• Assist with washing, dressing, eating, and toileting.
• Support safe lifting, transferring, repositioning, and movement.
• Keep clinical skills current through training and awareness of developments in care practices.
• Maintain a calm and professional approach in challenging or high-pressure situations.
• Travel to clients' homes and other locations as directed by the company.
