Job summary

Penrose Care Home is seeking a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) to join our private, luxury care facility in Biggleswade. You will lead shifts, administer medications, and deliver person-centred care while upholding high clinical standards.

You will assess needs, develop care plans, monitor health changes, and guide the care team to ensure safe, dignified support for up to 65 residents. Ongoing training and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with active NMC PIN.
• Strong clinical judgement and decision making.
• Confidence in leading shifts and supporting a team.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in a care home setting is beneficial, but candidates from related backgrounds are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and supervise care team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Assess needs, develop and review care plans; administer medication.
• Monitor changes in physical and mental health; respond to changes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Collaborate with residents, families and healthcare professionals.
