Job summary

SJB Medical in Poole, England, is seeking a Nurse - Functional Assessor to perform functional assessments and produce clear reports within regular hours, 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday. This role offers full-time work with no night shifts or weekend work.

You will use clinical judgement across physical and mental health conditions, work with a multidisciplinary team, and benefit from a comprehensive training pathway, structured environment and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist)
• Have at least 12 months’ post-registration experience within the last 5 years
• Have no current restrictions to practice
• Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional assessments and produce clear, accurate, high-quality reports
• Use clinical judgement to assess a wide range of physical and mental health conditions
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate records in line with clinical governance and quality standards
• Engage in ongoing training, CPD, and clinical supervision
• Deliver assessments with empathy, professionalism, and integrity
