Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking a Nurse Functional Assessor to apply clinical expertise in evaluating how conditions affect daily living. You will handle complex cases and contribute to meaningful outcomes for people seeking benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration number.
• At least 1 year of broad post-registration adult or mental health experience gained within or outside of the NHS.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life.
• Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports to help the DWP determine a person’s eligibility for benefits.
• Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills with the support of regular feedback and supervision.
