Job summary
Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Nurse Endoscopist/Gastroenterology practitioner to provide clinical support and perform endoscopic procedures (Gastroscopy and/or Colonoscopy) with or without sedation for a selected patient group.
Applicants should be willing to undertake BCSP accreditation; single modality training is welcome. The role includes guiding junior staff and contributing to best practice standards within a dynamic multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Act as an expert in nursing within Gastroenterology services.
- Provide autonomous diagnostic endoscopic service (Gastroscopy/Colonoscopy).
- Support junior medical staff and develop best‑practice standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support and perform endoscopic procedures with or without sedation.
- Undertake BCSP accreditation as required.
- Contribute to risk management and multidisciplinary team activities.
