Job summary

Wood Care Group in Doncaster is seeking a Deputy Nursing Manager to join the management team alongside the Home Manager. The role involves supporting the nursing team and carrying out assigned management duties with supernumerary time.

Key duties include managing residents' care plans, supervising nurses, coordinating medication rounds, and ensuring care is delivered in line with NMC guidelines and Company policy.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with NMC registration and current practising license.
• Experience leading or supervising nursing staff.
• Ability to develop and review care plans with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Manage residents' care plans and supervise nursing staff.
• Oversee medication rounds and documentation in line with NMC guidelines.
• Assess residents' care needs and provide clinical supervision when required.
• Report ill health and coordinate GP/professional visits as needed.
• Ensure care plans are accurate and updated with residents and relatives.

Job description

As the Deputy Nursing Manager, you are part of the management team alongside the Home Manager & the Deputy Manager. Here at Wood Care Group, we have the Nursing Deputy Manager who provides support to the nursing team and the management team. The role comprises mainly of providing care with assigned supernumerary time to complete management tasks.

Day to Day responsibilities:

• Residents Care Plans
• Managing the nurses
• Medication rounds and associated documentation in line with NMC guidelines and Company policy.
• Assess all aspects of resident's care needs and provide health supervision and direct nursing care when required.
• Report any ill health amongst residents and make GP / professional visit requests where necessary
• Ensure that Resident's Care Plans are correct and updates in conjunction with residents, relatives and other health care professionals and in accordance with NMC guidelines & Company policy.
• Carry out regular checks on resident's and complete associated paperwork.
• Reporting to the Home Manager where required.
• Understand and ensure the implementation of Company policies.
• Promote safe working practices within the Care Centre and accurate in detail documentation.
