What the job involves

• Carry out phlebotomy and obtain clinical samples
• Carry out NHS Health Checks, routine health checks and clinical observations including blood pressure, height, weight and BMI
• Support chronic disease management and long-term condition reviews
• Assist with minor surgery procedures and clinics
• Support contraception and pill check clinics within scope of practice and competency
• Undertake cytology where appropriately trained and competent
• Administer immunisations and vaccinations under training and practice protocols
• Provide health promotion, lifestyle and preventative healthcare advice
• Recognise changes in patient condition and escalated to a registered clinician
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and follow infection prevention and control procedures
• Maintain clinical rooms, equipment and stock
• Take part in training, competency assessments and professional development
