Qualifications
- Honours degree (2:1) in chemical or nuclear engineering or equivalent.
- Final year project or modules related to nuclear industry and waste management.
- Able to obtain UK security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare waste inventories and underpin assumptions for waste estimates.
- Undertake literature reviews on emerging radioactive waste technologies.
- Review options for decommissioning to optimise waste practices.
- Prepare documentation to support above activities.
- Develop understanding of the regulated nuclear industry and safety cases.
- Liaise with project teams, design engineers and environmental specialists.
