EDF Energy invites you to join its Nuclear Technical Engineering Services Industrial Placement for 12 months at Heysham 1 Power Station. You’ll gain hands-on experience, be mentored by highly skilled professionals, and begin your career in a safety‑driven, regulated environment.

You’ll develop fault‑finding and technical problem solving, contribute to engineering work packages, and learn the engineering change process while building planning and project management skills and a professional

Qualifications

• On track to achieve a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Maths, Physics, Science or Engineering.
• Eligibility to work in the UK; sponsorship may be possible but priority given to those with right to work.
• Security Vetting criteria requiring UK residency for at least three of the past five years.

Responsibilities

• Support the Technical Advice Group by planning and delivering engineering work packages.
• Develop fault-finding techniques and identify suitable repair strategies for plant reliability.
• Contribute to the engineering change process within a highly regulated environment.
• Develop Planning & Project Management skills and build a professional network for successful delivery of work packages.
