Job summary

EDF is offering a 12-month Emergency Preparedness Industrial Placement based at the Heysham Power Station sites in Lancashire. You will gain hands-on experience, join a customised training programme, and contribute to the upgrade of the Emergency Scheme while supporting the planning and delivery of exercises and events.

You will work on communications materials, attend planning forums with authorities and services, and participate in improvement projects for facilities and equipment.

Qualifications

• Eligible to join with a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Business, Engineering or Science.
• Right to work in the UK is required; sponsorship may be possible but priority to those with the right to work.
• Meet Security Vetting criteria: resident in the UK for at least three of the past five years.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of emergency exercises and training events
• Produce communications material to support administration of the Emergency Scheme
• Attend emergency planning forums with local authorities and emergency services
• Support improvement projects relating to emergency facilities and equipment
