Job summary

Mactech Energy Group is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to support the development of QA/QC arrangements and lead supplier audits within a nuclear safety context. The role requires IRCA Lead Auditor certification and broader experience applying ISO standards across multidisciplinary projects.

You will liaise with various functions, ensure audit reports are accurate and timely, and help drive continuous improvement in the SZC Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND qualification or Degree in relevant science or engineering, or equivalent.
• Broad experience in implementing quality-related solutions.
• IRCA-accredited Lead Auditor Course for ISO 9001:2015/ISO 19443:2018, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001.
• Experience applying ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and/or ISO 19443 standards in multidisciplinary projects.
• Proven leadership experience in quality assurance/control within nuclear or safety-critical industry.
• Experience with diverse stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
• Professional accreditation (IRCA).
• Lead auditor certification in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or ISO 19443.
• Membership or progressing towards Chartered Quality Institute & Chartered Quality Professional.
• Commercial experience in supplier management.
• Experience in regulated environments (e.g., nuclear).
• Experience with integrated management systems.
• Experience with independent oversight or audit roles.
• Knowledge of nuclear site license conditions.
• Experience interacting with regulators such as ONR.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of the nuclear sector, especially new build projects.
• Ability to speak French is advantageous.
• Knowledge of pressure and nuclear codes.

Responsibilities

• Support development of QA/QC arrangements for deployment across SZC organization.
• Implement key quality arrangements across topics (Quality Execution, Supplier Assessment, Supplier Audit).
• Conduct supplier audits and resolve quality issues.
• Maintain auditee engagement and publish audit reports within timescales.
• Analyze audit results to identify trends and improvements.
• Provide audit data input to SZC Project Management Review.
• Coordinate with auditors to share learnings.
