Job summary

Assystem UK Ltd is seeking a Simulation and Assessment engineer to deliver FEA-based assessments for nuclear components, aligning with design codes such as ASME III or RCC-M. You will plan, deliver and report projects while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and may integrate into client teams.

You'll work on 3D modelling, use Abaqus/Ansys, and contribute to safety and regulatory compliance, with travel within the UK and security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering fundamentals with an aptitude for calculations and understanding of structures, mechanics and fluids.
• Hands-on modelling experience with Abaqus, Ansys, Nastran, CFD tools or similar.
• Experience applying code assessments in safety-related industries (e.g., ASME, RCC-M, KTA).

Responsibilities

• Deliver FEA-based assessments for nuclear components to design codes such as ASME III or RCC-M.
• Plan, execute, and report simulations and assessments with clear documentation.
• Communicate progress and results to internal teams and external stakeholders.
