Job summary

Assystem is seeking a motivated engineer to join the Simulation and Assessment team in the UK to deliver Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of nuclear components for codes like ASME III and RCC-M. You will plan, deliver, and report projects and interact with customers’ technical leads across internal and external teams.

The role may involve embedded client work in integrated teams or delivering projects from Assystem offices, with hybrid work 1–2 days remote per week.

Qualifications

• Excellent technical fundamentals – aptitude for calculations, appreciation of structures, mechanics and fluids, and ability to sense-check analysis results.
• Hands-on experience with computer-based modelling codes such as Abaqus, ANSYS, Nastran, CFD, etc.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Finite Element Analysis (FEA) assessments of components for nuclear design codes (e.g., ASME III, RCC-M).
• Plan, deliver and report projects and communicate with internal and external stakeholders such as customers’ technical leads.
• Work within client teams or deliver Assystem projects from one of our offices.
