Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in installing engineering construction plant and systems (plating) or equivalent NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in fabricating steel structures.
• Security clearance (BPSS) achievable.
• CCNSG Safety Passport required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in secondary steel support, fitting up sheet metal and steel members.

Responsibilities

• Cut, thread, and fit up in accordance with specs and drawings using saws, grinders, torches, and prepare plates/equipment.
• Align, level, plumb prefabricated pieces using hand and power tools.
• Preassemble, assemble and secure steel members by welding or bolting.
• Measure and mark equipment for cutting fit up.
• Install, torque, and tension bolts; install supports.
