Job summary

AA Euro Group seeks experienced Platers for the Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Station Project in the UK. You will contribute to building the country's clean energy future by fabricating and assembling plates, pipes, and structural components on a major construction site.

Role requires proven construction project experience; nuclear power exposure is advantageous. NVQ 3 / ACE card in fabrication or welding, plus CCNSG and IOSH safety certifications, are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience on major construction projects.
• Nuclear power experience is advantageous.
• NVQ 3 / ACE card in Fabricating Steel Structures or Fabrication & Welding.
• CCNSG Safety Passport and IOSH Managing Safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Build the UK's clean energy future through fabrication tasks.
• Work with MEH Alliance to deliver complex piping and cabling systems.
• Translate engineering docs into fabrication plans and select tools.
• Cut, shape and assemble steel plates and components.
• Install and join plate and structural materials.
• Perform burning, grinding and other fabrication tasks.
• Complete tasks to meet contract specifications.

The Role

• Play a pivotal role in building the UK's clean energy future.
• Work within the MEH Alliance, collaborating effectively to deliver complex piping and cabling systems.
• Translate engineering documents into fabrication plans, selecting necessary tools and equipment.
• Cut, shape, and assemble steel plates and components.
• Install and join plate and structural materials.
• Perform burning, grinding, and other fabrication tasks.
• Complete tasks set by supervisors and ensure work meets or exceeds contract specifications.

You are a great fit if you have:

• Proven experience working on major construction projects.
• A proven track-record in nuclear power (advantageous)
• NVQ 3 / ACE card in Fabricating Steel Structures or Fabrication & Welding.
• Possess a CCNSG Safety Passport and ideally IOSH Managing Safety certification.

Payrates:

• £29.34/hr basic (first 38hours/week)
• £39.46/hr overtimes rate A (after 38 hours/week- starts from Friday Morning until Midday Saturday)
• £50.73 Overtimes rate B ( From Midday Saturday to Sunday 12pm)
• Accommodation allowance: £355.67/week (tax free)
