Job summary

Framatome UK is seeking a Safety Manager to maintain technical authority for the SZC project, coordinating the NS&E discipline and ensuring replication justification across all interfaces with RD entities and the Client Organisation. You will oversee safety activities, align yearly task orders with NS&E requirements, and drive timely delivery by NS&E Safety Teams in a highly regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified engineer in an appropriate scientific or engineering discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Nuclear Safety on EPR or PWR designs.
• Experience in a relevant position, preferably from a highly regulated industry.
• Ability to take a strategic view with good interpersonal skills and communicate at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage interfaces with stakeholders across RD entities, Client Organisation (SZC) and NS&E Discipline to secure replication justification activities.
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure replication of Safety studies from HPC to SZC.
• Oversee Contract/Change Management collaboration with SZC Client Organisation and NS&E Discipline.
• Work with NS&E Discipline Group Lead to align safety objectives and ensure timely delivery to NS&E Safety Teams.
• Ensure safety activities are defined in yearly SZC Task Orders and budget is approved with NS&E Safety Teams.
• Ensure NS&E Safety Teams deliver SZC safety activities on time and right first time.
• Analyze potential Design Changes and NCRs with NS&E Safety Expertise to resolve technical issues.
• Review NS&E Safety deliverables and approve when SQEP for relevant topics.
• Present reports on NS&E Safety progress across project forums and track gaps in hours/costs.
• Manage SZC project risks and opportunities related to safety activities.
