Job summary

Framatome UK is seeking a Head of Mechanical Branch to lead the Mechanical Chapter for the SZC project from its Aztec West, Bristol base. You will oversee design replication, procurement input, and technical management of contracts, while coordinating with the DQPI and other EDF Group entities across the UK, France and Germany.

Qualifications

• Master-level degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior engineering, leadership or project management.
• Experience in Nuclear New Build, EPR or PWR environments.
• Strong knowledge of EPR design and engineering processes.
• Proven project and delivery management experience.
• Good understanding of UK laws, regulations, nuclear industry practices.
• Demonstrated leadership in a regulated technical environment.
• Excellent communication and people engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Operational management of the Mechanical Branch (approx. 8 direct reports).
• Represent the Mechanical Branch in SZC Project Senior Leadership Team.
• Coordinate activities with DQPI and EDF Group entities.
• Manage budget, scope, quality, and schedule commitments.
• Interface with other SZC project parties; mitigate risk.
• Ensure technical integration and alignment with Project Configuration.
• Lead multi-disciplinary UK/France/Germany delivery teams.
