Job summary

Frazer-Nash Consultancy is seeking a Nuclear Safety Case Consultant to help deliver critical safety assessments across civil and defence nuclear projects. The role combines consulting with hands-on safety case development, spanning analysis, documentation and client liaison.

You will work in a flexible hybrid pattern across office, client sites and home, with opportunities to shape safety strategies and contribute to major projects in the UK.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in civil or defence nuclear with safety experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks.
• Fast learner adaptable to different projects and clients.
• Motivation to continually develop expertise in safety case.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to tackle nuclear safety challenges.
• Perform tasks such as HAZID, fault schedule development, design basis analysis, probabilistic analysis, safety functional requirements, HAZOP.
• Conduct periodic safety reviews of nuclear facilities.
• Qualify and substantiate systems against safety requirements.
• Assess internal and external hazards.
• Support safety case development for nuclear and non-nuclear plants.
• Author clear safety-related documents and present arguments.
