Job summary

Vulcain Engineering is seeking a Risk Manager to join our UK Project Controls team on the Hinkley Point C programme. You will establish risk registers, identify and monitor risks, and drive mitigation actions across the lifecycle of major nuclear infrastructure projects.

The role requires strong expertise in qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, facilitation of workshops, and a solid track record in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Risk Manager on large-scale infrastructure or nuclear projects.
• Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Monte Carlo) for risk assessment.
• Experience performing qualitative and quantitative risk analysis.
• Excellent organisational and facilitation skills; able to run workshops with diverse teams.
• Professional risk management qualifications or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain risk registers for the programme.
• Identify, document and monitor risks across the project lifecycle.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with project teams to execute mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to the Risk Management Strategy and Plan.
• Lead workshops with project managers to capture and assess risks.
• Ensure cohesive risk management across all project areas.
