Job summary

Highfield Professional Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Quality Engineer / Supplier Quality Engineer for nuclear sector projects in the UK. You will ensure supplier quality, review manufacturing documents, and assist with design reviews and LTRs across Europe.

Role involves inspecting procedures, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting quality during bids and project planning. Nuclear sector experience is highly valued and UK SC clearance eligibility is preferred.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Experience working with suppliers and manufacturing quality processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering and manufacturing documentation.
• Eligible to obtain or hold UK Security Check (SC) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve supplier quality arrangements in line with project requirements.
• Assess QCPs, ITPs, weld procedures, and manufacturing documentation.
• Conduct supplier surveillance and inspections throughout manufacturing.
• Attend supplier kick-off meetings to establish quality expectations.
• Verify progress of Lifetime Records (LTRs) alongside manufacturing activities.
• Coordinate inspection activities and liaise with customer inspection representatives.
• Support engineering teams during design reviews to ensure inspection and quality requirements are defined.
• Review enquiry, tender and contract documentation for project-specific quality requirements.
• Investigate product quality issues and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor project quality performance and escalation risks where necessary.
• Produce quality estimates to support bids, tenders and project planning.
• Support final product acceptance and documentation review.
