Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quality Engineer in nuclear setting.
• Recognised Apprenticeship in relevant discipline.
• Recognised Engineering Qualification (ONC / BTEC / C&G)
• Recognised Welding Inspection/Engineer Certificate Issued by TWI/CSWIP/PCN
• Member/Associate member of chartered quality institute
• CCNSG safety passport OR HS&E MAPS
• Proficient in Microsoft applications

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, surveillance, and verification activities across the assigned work scope in compliance with company, client and nuclear codes and standards.
• Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control programs specific to nuclear construction activities
• Communicate and train project personnel on QMS requirements including Nuclear Safety Culture.
• Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality records, weld documentation, and supplier certifications
• Conduct root cause analyses and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Actions
• Liaise with the client & NNB quality teams during audits, witness points, and hold points
• Ensure documentation traceability for lifetime quality records in compliance with NNB (Nuclear New Build) standards
• Interface with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to monitor and verify quality processes ensuring they are fit for purpose.
• Monitor and measure the efficiency of the QMS and ensuring its improvement through the project lifecycle.
• Collect, Analise and Report quality data to provide insights to support decision making process.
• Promote continuous improvement in quality culture and nuclear safety culture principles across the site
