Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a QHSE Engineer to support the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental processes across UK projects. You will work closely with operational teams, project managers, suppliers and stakeholders to promote compliance and reduce risk.

The role focuses on fostering a positive safety culture, delivering risk assessments, audits, incident investigations, and QHSE reporting across projects, with opportunities for career

Qualifications

• Engineering, Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related discipline.
• Experience in a QHSE, Quality, HSE, or Assurance role within regulated industry.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
• Experience conducting audits, inspections, and investigations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in report writing and data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and compliance assessments.
• Review and monitor project processes for compliance with client, regulatory, and company requirements.
• Assist with non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Support supplier and subcontractor quality surveillance activities.
• Produce QHSE reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Analyse trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the project.
