Job summary

Babcock invites applications for a Plant Engineer at our Plymouth, Devon site with hybrid working arrangements. The role involves supporting the safe operation of nuclear facilities, ensuring design intent and safety requirements are met, and coordinating with multiple teams across production and design.

The candidate will authorise safety documentation, maintain records, and manage engineering activities within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting engineering operations, maintenance, or modification activities.
• Knowledge of working practices within a high-hazard or highly regulated industry.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience producing technical, scientific, or engineering reports.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Support facility operations by identifying and managing actions to ensure design intent and safety requirements are maintained.
• Authorizing nuclear safety documentation and maintaining accurate records relating to facility plant and assets.
• Manage the implementation of engineering activities while coordinating with a range of stakeholders across production, design, and technical teams.
• Control master documentation for nuclear safety management arrangements within the facility.
• Investigate, implementing, and supporting improvements and modifications to nuclear facilities and associated assets.
